Cutting the flow of plastic
This project is in support of the global #BreakFreefromPlastic movement and is focusing on litter, with behaviour change the prime driver.
1. There is a multiplicity of organisations struggling to reduce the flow of plastic to the wider environment and many are competing against each other for resources and publicity, many are working in isolation with little communication or sharing between them.
This project aims to bring all these groups together, within and across sectors, to reach a consensus for action.

2. Figure One shows the main elements that comprise the overall solution.
One problem we have identified is the high 'conflation' rate and lack of clarity around those elements: different aspects requiring different messages, different timelines and different types of activity. (Figure Two)

These are reflected in the different Focus Areas identified.
In each case the aim is to share information across the wider community and jointly develop solutions. Along the way it is hoped that consensus can be developed through sharing and updating information.
